Dropping Coursework

Before dropping coursework, please be aware of the impact dropping coursework may have on your bill as well as your financial aid. Please be aware of the refund policy, refund schedule, and info about financial aid below when making registration changes.

Refund Policy #

Refunds or adjustments of student accounts arising from registration changes are made as of the date the Change of Schedule form is returned to the Records department. Students may receive a refund for any dropped course provided that:
  1. the course is dropped within the parameters of the refund schedule
  2. the course is dropped via online registration, e-mail, or a signed Change of Schedule form turned into the Records department by the close of the business week for which the student wishes to receive a refund.

Please note – close of business week is Friday at 4:30 pm, exempting holidays.

EXCEPTIONS
  • Each student who is enrolled in either EDU400A or EDU600A will be charged Teacher Education Assessment Fee No. 1 in the amount of $250. Each student who is enrolled in either EDU4CP1 or EDU6CP1 will be charged Teacher Education Assessment Fee No. 2 in the amount of $250. These fees will be 100% refundable through the first two weeks of class (Friday, 4:30pm the second week of class). If a student drops one of the courses after the first two weeks, the student will not be refunded the $250 fee. In the case that a student registers for the previously dropped course in a future semester and had already paid the Teacher Education Assessment Fee for that course, the student will not be charged the fee a second time. The fee will only be charged once per course.
  • SeaSand (SCI672) is a No Refund course.
